OHF CODE OF CONDUCT

 


What is a Code of Conduct?

A Code of Conduct is "a set of standards, or rules of behavior, that guide the decisions, procedures and systems of an organization in a way that (a) contributes to the welfare of its key stakeholders, and (b) respects the rights of all constituents affected by its operations."


What is the Open Hearth Foundation?

Open Hearth Foundation (OHF) is a non-profit religious organization that seeks to create physical space for Pagans to congregate. Participation in the organization's programs is subject to the observance of the organization's rules and policies.


How are we expected to behave?

OHFmembers and participants shall...

Respect others and their beliefs, however different.

Help each other to grow as spiritual individuals.

Help to keep OHF property clean and presentable.

Be truthful.

Follow all applicable local, state, and federal laws.


What can't we do?

General Prohibitions:

The activities outlined below are strictly prohibited. Any participant or staff member who violates this Code is subject to discipline, up to and including removal from the organization.

Abusive language towards a staff member, volunteer or another participant.

Discourtesy or rudeness to a fellow participant, staff member or volunteer.

Verbal, physical or visual harassment of another participant, staff member or volunteer.

Bullying or taking unfair advantage of any participant.

Actual or threatened violence toward any individual or group.

Possession or use of illegal substances on OHF's property or reporting to the program while under the influence of illegal substances.

Bringing onto OHF's property dangerous or unauthorized materials such as explosives, firearms, weapons or other similar items.

Conduct endangering the life, safety, health or well-being of others.

Failure to follow any OHF policy.


What else can’t we do?

In addition to the General Prohibitions, there are Prohibitions Specific to OHF Hosted Events:

No smoking.

Alcohol will not be served to, or consumed by, anyone under the age of 21.
