JOIN THE OHF BOARD
manifest with us a Pagan community center

The Board of Governors of the Open Hearth Foundation is an intense working board committed to launching a Pagan community center with national support in Washington, D.C. by Imbolc 2012. There is much to be done, and it is an all-hands-on-deck effort. Propspective board members need to be able to follow through with assignments with no supervision, be self-starters, be communicative, be able to attend multiple meetings each month in the city after work, be available to support fundraisers, and ideally have some skill set that is needed by the organization.

Some trustee positions are available on various projects. Trustees are responsible for one or more defined areas of work, unlike board members who are expected to be available for whatever is necessary and needs to be done.

To apply as a trustee or a board member:

  1. Prospective board members and trustees of the OHFshould be contributing members of the organization in good standing.
  2. Prospective board members and trustees should be known persons to the OHF, express interest in the organization’s mission, and be invited to join.
    1. Ideally, attend at least 3 Pagans’ Nights Out and 2 OHF fundraisers before consideration is given.
  3. Prospective board members must serve as a trustee on at least one project for 3 to 6 months before applying to the board.
  4. An application to the board is necessary, an interview, and then a majority of the board must confirm with a vote.
  5. Exceptions can be mad by a unanimous vote of the board.
